2nd situation: A striker drives the ball, beginning at a cone.

The goalkeeper moves towards him and picks the ball up (the supporting foot near the ball). He then clears the ball straight away in order to avoid contact while the striker races straight ahead.

Important: The goalkeeper intervenes when the striker has lost the ball and frees himself to the side corresponding to the forward moving leg (left on the diagram).

3rd situation: Servers, positioned on the main line and on the wings, kick the balls to the ground and into the goal.

Within the 6 yd area the strikers move in the way of the goalkeeper (no interception). If at all possible, the goalkeeper picks the balls up without diving (goal 4 yds long and 18+ inches high).

Adapt the goal area to the level of the goalkeeper (2 to 4 yds)
